Tea Info
Tea offered at the local grocery is not intended as a high quality product. Rather, it is a product designed for mass production and marketing. It is frequently a lower-quality tea composed of leaf fannings and dust, the tiny leaf particles that break off when tea leaves are processed. While the cup of tea brewed from this looks dark and appetizing, unfortunately it is missing the premium flavor and aroma of loose leaf teas. Why is that? Like herbs, tea derives its flavor from oils in the plant. When exposed to air and light these oils break down and lose their potency. When this happens, the tea loses its flavor. The oils in the small fannings have a larger exposure to air and the tea loses its flavor more quickly. Try our tea products. Once you discover the pleasures of premium tea, you will find it hard to go back to the inferior contents of a mass-market box.
